Faction Prodigy 3.0 Skis 2020

Hard charging rippers who pride themselves on throwing a little creativity into their freeski routines will love the Faction Prodigy 3.0 Skis as an everyday driver. With plenty of tail rocker to make switch riding a pleasure, enough surface area to make you grin in anything but 2 feet of blower (we know, you'd be grinning anyway, just deeper down), and a solid build that relishes speed, the Prodigy 3.0 is just what park riders are looking for when they start looking to the top of the mountain.

Rocker Type

390 mm Tip Rocker / 3 mm Camber / 380 mm Progressive Tail Rocker

Flex

Flex Rating7 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)

Sidecut

Dual Radius SidecutOffers two different radii along a single edge. In front, a shorter radius provides quick response and control for tighter turns while a longer radius in the tail section is stable at high speeds. The result is a ski that surfs seamlessly between different turn angles and never drags.

Shape

Directional TwinA considerably skinnier tail width than the tip provides ultimate downhill performance for attacking the mountain. A twin tip in the tail encourages playfulness and freestyle attitude, meaning you can ride switch without problem.

Surf ZonesUnites rocker and tip taper ensuring these two key features work in harmony. Rocker provides float and facilitates pivoting, while a tapered tip moves the widest part of the ski closer to the center and removes unwanted hooking. Surf Zones promise a floaty, seamless ride in all conditions.

Core

Poplar Ash CorePoplar is a light-colored, durable softwood that flexes and pop nicely with great vibration absorption capabilities. Ash is a heavier hardwood that compliments the Poplar by adding stiffness and durability. This duo provides a good hold on hard snow, a solid base for stomping landings and enough pop and flex to get creative.

Laminates

Flax FibersLeading the pack of next-gen, low environmental-impact ski materials, these natural composite layers are stronger and lighter than the standard sheets of fiberglass they replace. A biaxial layup of flax fibers ensures excellent dampening and adds all the stiffness and torsional stability you could want from your eco-friendly landing gear.

Sidewalls

Full Strength SidewallThis construction places strips of protective material along the sides of each core, between the edge and the topsheet. Sidewalls provide the best possible edge hold and stability when the ski is engaged in a turn as well as protecting the wood core, edges and topsheet from impacts and outside damage.

Micro CapA hybrid of a premium sandwich sidewall construction fused with a lightweight, durable cap construction. With micro-cap, the sandwich construction provides awesome edge hold and torsional stability while the ski's topsheet wraps around and meets the sidewall, protecting the fragile joint that can be prone to chipping.

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Marker Griffon 13 ID Ski Bindings

As you develop as a skier, pushing harder and skiing faster, you find out that pre-release can be just as dangerous as failure to release. Performance, light weight, and reliability are what have made the Griffon evo's most popular alpine binding over the years and the new Marker Griffon 13 ID Ski Bindings maintain that tradition. The Griffon ID introduces a new AFD (Anti-Friction Device) with a greater adjustment range, meant to function equally well with either Alpine ISO 5355 or Touring ISO 9523 soles.

Toe Piece

Triple Pivot Elite ToeToe construction with impressive retention when freeriding. The spring in the toe is inserted horizontally and with a sole plate inclined by 5° it provides the highest energy absorption so as to reduce the risk of early release. The large supporting surface optimizes the power transmission and allows for great stresses and strains. In relation to their weight, toes with this technology therefore achieve a never-seen-before performance.

AFD Gliding PlateAll Marker bindings (except the Jester Pro) are equipped with a moveable AFD (Anti Friction Device), allowing a precise release unhindered by dirt, snow, and ice buildup. The type of AFD is matched to the skier type, ensuring perfect functionality from racing to junior and even alpine touring.

Sole.IDMarker Sole.ID allows Marker Authorized Retailers to adjust Sole ID equipped bindings to every type of adult ski boot sole, from ISO 5355 Alpine to ISO 9523 Touring, with a height adjustable gliding plate (AFD).

Heel Piece

Inter Pivot HeelThe stunning heel construction delivers superior holding power for freeriding. The Inter Pivot Heel directs the power forces in the angle of elasticity improving the holding power and reducing pre-releases.
