The most versatile of all the Candide variants, the Faction Candide 3.0 Skis rock a do-it-all 108 mm waist, directional "true" twin shape, and plenty of rocker at both ends. A light but stout hybrid core of Balsa, Poplar and Flax fiber is the foundation of this and other Candide models, and it's a great, light and strong way to build a ski. If you watched Candide latest video and are dreaming of having "one of those days," this is the setup for you.
Rocker / Camber / Rocker – 330 mm tip rocker, 2 mm camber, 320 mm subtle tail rocker
Flex: 7 / 10 – (1 = Soft, 10 = Stiff)
Directional True Twin – There is some tail taper in this ski, but the design is meant to encourage switch skiing and jibbing.
Hybrid Balsa-Poplar-Flax Core – Balsa is a sandy-colored softwood with exceptional strength for its light weight. Reinforce the super lightweight Balsa with earthy-colored, robust Flax fibre plus Poplar strips and you have a durable wood core that holds an edge like skis twice the weight. During the drying process, cells of water in the Balsa wood are driven off, leaving behind a strong core with no excess weight.
Titanal Binding Plate – When you're on a day-long touring trip in the backcountry, you need to rely on your gear. Titanal reinforcement plates are laid up on top of the lightweight cores ensuring that your binding screws hold. This one-piece design fits alpine and touring bindings, adding trustworthy durability to these lightweight cores.
Full Strength Sidewall Construction with Microcap – Sandwich sidewall construction for power and edgehold, with a topsheet that wraps around and meets the sidewall for durability.
Die-Cut P-Tex 3000
Anti-Scratch Textured Topsheet

The Marker Griffon Ski Bindings are our top selling performance binding year after year. The reasons are obvious - excellent energy transmission, light weight compared to other bindings in its class, and solid durability have made the Griffon a fan favorite that finds its way onto more freeride skis than any other 12 to 14 DIN clamp. Marker's gliding AFD (anti-friction device) ensures consistent release with all types of ISO 5355 alpine soles and is less dependent on cleanliness or condition than stationary AFD's. The Inter Pivot Heel is time tested and offers excellent vertical elasticity as well as reliable release when you really need it. Step into the Griffon this season and find your own sweet spot.
AFD Gliding Plate – All Marker bindings (except the Jester Pro) are equipped with a moveable AFD (Anti Friction Device), allowing a precise release unhindered by dirt, snow, and ice buildup. The type of AFT is matched to the skier type, ensuring perfect functionality from racing to junior and even alpine touring.
Triple Pivot Elite Toe Piece – With a horizontally oriented spring, it provides the highest energy absorption to reduce the risk of early release. The secure purchase on the boot lug optimizes power transmission and allows for durable, high energy use. The performance to weight ratio of the Triple Pivot toe is truly unmatched in the industry.
Inter Pivot Heel – This industry-leading construction delivers superior holding power for all types of freeskiing. Its design focuses power in the direction of the boot sole, increasing elasticity. The overall design creates optimum power transmission.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
