With a complete re-design for 2016, the Blizzard Bodacious Skis turn a page from the Arne Backstrom era, but Arne would love this ski. The new Bodacious still crushes in any big mountain conditions, but feels a little more nimble and alive without the two sheets of Titanal. This year's skis are lighter at the tips and tails, with carbon fiber integrated into the Flip Core build. The turn radius has also dropped to 27 meters in a 185 (last year's ski was 32 meters). Slightly better performance in tight spots doesn't change the fact that the Bodacious is meant to charge hard; high speed precision arcs at Mach Looney will still bring a smile of delight to your face. If you loved the old Bodacious like we did, be prepared for a different, but no less amazing experience.
Rocker Flat Rocker – Long, gradual tip rocker and mild tail rocker, flat in the middle. The noticeable curvature of the tip and tail favors optimal flotation in backcountry terrain. The flat profile in the middle guarantees stability on harder snow.
Medium Stiff Flex
Tapered Tip & Tail
Poplar-Bamboo Woodcore
Carbon Flip Core Technology – In an evolution of the famed Blizzard Flip Core process, which starts with the core contour matching the intended rocker profile, 90˚ directional carbon fiber is integrated into the core at the tip and tail, stabilizing the extremities of the ski while reducing swing weight. Win-win for you.
Lite Core | Poplar-Beech – Specifically developed to meet the needs of modern Freeride, Touring, and Women All-Mountain skiers. This core provides a great strength to weight ratio thanks to Isocore and light wood or bamboo elements.
Titanal Binding Interface
Sandwich Compound Sidewall – All Blizzard skis with the exception of some junior skis are built with ABS or Phenol sidewalls for superior performance (stability, power transmission, handling) and durability.
Sintered Graphite Base
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

The Marker Griffon Ski Bindings are our top selling performance binding year after year. The reasons are obvious - excellent energy transmission, light weight compared to other bindings in its class, and solid durability have made the Griffon a fan favorite that finds its way onto more freeride skis than any other 12 to 14 DIN clamp. Marker's gliding AFD (anti-friction device) ensures consistent release with all types of ISO 5355 alpine soles and is less dependent on cleanliness or condition than stationary AFD's. The Inter Pivot Heel is time tested and offers excellent vertical elasticity as well as reliable release when you really need it. Step into the Griffon this season and find your own sweet spot.
AFD Gliding Plate – All Marker bindings (except the Jester Pro) are equipped with a moveable AFD (Anti Friction Device), allowing a precise release unhindered by dirt, snow, and ice buildup. The type of AFT is matched to the skier type, ensuring perfect functionality from racing to junior and even alpine touring.
Triple Pivot Elite Toe Piece – With a horizontally oriented spring, it provides the highest energy absorption to reduce the risk of early release. The secure purchase on the boot lug optimizes power transmission and allows for durable, high energy use. The performance to weight ratio of the Triple Pivot toe is truly unmatched in the industry.
Inter Pivot Heel – This industry-leading construction delivers superior holding power for all types of freeskiing. Its design focuses power in the direction of the boot sole, increasing elasticity. The overall design creates optimum power transmission.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
With a nominal 98 mm last and 120 flex, the Tecnica Mach1 120 LV Ski Boots are one of the lowest volume non-race boots on the market, and flex as stiff as many companies' 130 boot. Positive, precise and predictable, the Mach1 120 LV is the right answer for the expert level all mountain skier who no longer confines himself to the corduroy but is equally at home stomping steep powder lines. Don't be afraid to go a bit smaller with the Mach1 series; the C.A.S (Custom Adaptive Shape) shells and liners are made with modification in mind; if you have doubts talk to a bootfitter you trust.
Last: 98 mm – Precise, performance oriented low volume fit for the highest level of control.
evo Bootfitter's Notes – The Mach1 LV last is one of the lowest volume non-race fits available; very narrow around the midfoot and ankle but taller than average in the instep.
C.A.S. Shell – Custom Adaptive Shape shells are anatomically formed around the heel and problem areas at the factory. Common punch zones are plainly marked with a dot grid pattern on the shell, and the new polyether and Triax 3.0 shell materials offer improved stability when heated.
Quick Instep – A shaped plastic component at the instep that is softer than the rest of the shell helps you to step into and out of the ski boot.
C.A.S. Grindable Boot Board – The removable C.A.S. boot board offers plenty of thickness for grinding and a grid pattern for reference.
Flex: 120 – A stiff flex for expert or heavier skiers who require quick rebound and ski response.
Quadrafit Ultrafit Pro Race Liner – A precise and responsive fit with a microfibre lining, latex protection and 3D EVA rubber ankle protectors.
C.A.S. Liner Technology – C.A.S. Technology focuses on the critical fit areas of the foot to achieve an accurate anatomical shape using dual density pre-shaped thermoformed microcell material. This provides a great out-of-the-box fit for enhanced sensitivity and power transmission all while allowing for liner customization.
Shell – Polyester with co-molded softer Quick Instep insert for easy entry and exit.
Cuff – Polyester with fiberglass insert in rear spine.
Adjustable Cuff Alignment – Double Oversize Canting
4 Micro Alu Buckles
45 mm Power Strap
ISO 5355 Bi-Material Alpine Sole
