Product Info

Marker Baron (Small) Ski Bindings (110mm Brakes) 2012: Featuring the same revolutionary toe and heel design as the Duke, but with a 4-13 DIN range and a lighter weight construction that shaves 150 grams of weight, about 1/3 of a pound less than the Duke, the Marker Baron Ski Bindings are suited for lighter-weight backcountry skiers who want the performance of the Triple-Pivot toe and Inter-Pivot heel. The BCT/Ski lever lets the Barron perform equally as an AT touring binding and durable downhill binding.

Product Details

Recommended Use

The Marker Baron is designed for lighter weight or moderately aggressive skiers who spend a lot of time on resort but take any opportunity to head into the sidecountry and occasionally go for a full-on backcountry tour.

Additional Features

Patented BCT Back Country Technology uphill hiking mode

BCT/Ski lever protected under foot to prevent inadvertent opening in ski mode.

The unique mobility feature moves the skier's center of mass 40mm backward in BC mode - resulting in a better balanced ski swing weight and easier kick-turns.

New hiking aid with 7° & 13° positions

Height adjustable, gliding AFD for alpine/AT

Lowest stand height of all “frame” AT models with 36mm stand height above ski

No-pull-out screws

Compatibility

We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15mm wider.

Construction

Power-Width-Design gives freeskiing bindings the ultimate power transmission for today's wide skis with the shortest frame of all hiking models in the market, 10 mm wider interface than traditional bindings (not built around the historic 63 mm SL ski like conventional bindings), and connection brackets extend upward on the outside for the ultimate power transmission.

Triple-Pivot Elite toe with a 5° sole holder angle, high energy absorption to prevent pre-release with 32mm elasticity, and increased boot lug contact.

Inter-Pivot heel design focuses power in direction of boot sole and elasticity direction for superior holding power and energy transfer with 34 mm elasticity.
