Comments about Marker Baron Large Ski Bindings (110mm Brakes) 2013:

Great if you want a performance downhill binding with the ability to tour the slack country. While I wouldn't recommend this binding if you plan on touring a lot due to its weight it is good for those that want the ability to tour occasionally or get just outside the ski area boundary's. Another great feature is its ability to accept ski boots with after market soles. Buy it only if you plan on doing some touring, if your just skiing lifts its a waist of money and you 'll never use it for what its designed. Make sure you get the right size??

Comments about Marker Baron Large Ski Bindings (110mm Brakes) 2013:

I considered the Duke out of concern for durability/materials, but ultimately went with the Baron for the lighter weight (and lower cost). Don't regret the decision at all. Despite the additional plastic in construction, the binding was rock solid with heavy use this season. My only complaint would be with the climbing bars - I think they allow a slightly steeper angle on the Duke than the Baron. However, increasing the angle seems like a relatively simple modification I may attempt in the future. Solid overall, would buy again.

Solid binding that skis inbounds and out-of-bounds with confidence. For true touring, choose lighter Dynafit binding and boot system.

Comments about Marker Baron Large Ski Bindings (110mm Brakes) 2013:

Second pair of Barons. Spent a lot of time debating with friends about whether to get Dynafits, Fritschis or repeat Barons. My old bindings never let me down, and since I ski 80/20 inbouds and love the bumps...it's gotta be Barons. Definitely happy with this model, and glad to see they've added a 13 degree stop. If you're a part-time backcountry skier who loves to hammer it inbounds and make short tours in the nethers, these bindings will not let you down.

Comments about Marker Baron Large Ski Bindings (110mm Brakes) 2013:

Have yet to use the AT ability on these, but they work great going downhill. Compared to my old Looks, they are heavy, but that's to be expected given the 13 din + AT capability. I imagine they'll work well enough in the side country, though given the weight I wouldn't want to go on any extended climbs with them. Seems they'll be good for mostly resort use with the occasional jaunt in the backcountry.

Comments about Marker Baron Large Ski Bindings (110mm Brakes) 2013:

I use this binding at the ski resort and for short tours. I like having one pair of skis and having the option of doing a short tour or going to the resort. For bigger days and tours with difficult ascents, I suggest a proper AT binding.

I will be prepard for ski patrol and free skiing when deep POW makes it like floating and frolicking on a cloud. I'll also be well prepared for backcountry search and rescue. These AT bindings will go great on my new Rossi S7 skis, being light and flexible, while of sound construction for endurance. I can always count on EVO to give me a price that beats the competition, with free shipping no less.

Not the lightest touring binding out there, but bomb-proof, easy to use, and you can't beat the price on Evo. Looking forward to ripping these in the slack country this winter!
