The Mammut Ride Removable 22L Airbag Backpack is the ace-in-the-hole of Mammut's airbag lineup. The 22-liter size is incredibly versatile; from sidecountry laps to bigger day tours. There's more than enough room for skins, food, and layers in an ergonomic pack that won't throw off your balance on the ride down. Built around Mammut's proven Snowpulse® technology, the Ride 22 relies on compressed air and is reliable in even the most extreme conditions. Gear loops on the outside ensure there's room for an ice axe or poles for the splitboarders out there.

Removable Airbag System – The Removable Airbag System is a removable avalanche airbag system based on a square airbag that deploys behind the wearer's head. The user can easily and safely install the airbag in the appropriate backpack and remove it again as required. Installation or removal takes just a few minutes and the process is easy and safe to carry out. This allows the backpack to be used for other activities without the airbag system. The Removable Airbag System is completely compatible with all removable airbag system or R.A.S. backpacks and can be swapped between different backpacks.
Increased Chance of Survival – The functioning of the avalanche airbag is based on the physical principle of inverse segregation. This sorting effect means that in an equally moving mass of particles, the smaller particles gravitate to the bottom while the larger ones rise to the surface. The avalanche airbag increases the wearer's volume, significantly boosting this effect. The avalanche airbag can therefore help to keep the wearer's body on the surface of the snow and thus prevent complete burial.
Easily Located – The size and bright color of the avalanche airbag assists with rapid location.
Removable – The user can independently install the airbag system in a backpack and remove it again as required. Installation or removal takes just a few minutes and the process is easy and safe to carry out. This allows the backpack to be used for other activities without the airbag system.
Transferable – The Protection Airbag System is completely compatible with all Protection Airbag backpacks and can be swapped between different backpacks. This allows you to always select the appropriate backpack type for the relevant application. For instance, a small 15 liter pack for freeriding or a 35 liter pack for larger tours. *Protection Airbag System cannot be installed in Removable Airbag System backpacks.*

Mammut Cartridge Refillable 207 Bar Alu (Empty)
The Mammut Cartridge Refillable 207 Bar Alu (Empty) is an essential component of the avalanche airbag system and must be ordered separately. This cartridge is completely compatible with the Removable Airbag System R.A.S. and the Protection Airbag System, as well as with Snowpulse avalanche airbags from the 2011-12 season. It is intended for sale in the USA and Canada and can be refilled by the user after any deployment using a compressor or diving cylinder. The filling pressure of the cartridge can be checked quickly and safely using a pressure gauge. The cartridge refill kit and a compressed air source are required for refilling.
