Pointy, pow-specific swallowtails are great and all, but some backcountry rippers haven't given up on riding switch. The Slash Brainstorm Linehiker Splitboard is the self-ascending version of their all-mountain directional twin, built as much for throwing down as it is for getting up. Slightly set back, its blunt shape stays pretty wide as it goes from rocker at the tips to camber between your feet, giving you mega float and edge hold whether you're coming or going. That traditional camber combines with a lightweight wood core to make for a very planted platform while skinning, with tons of surface area for skin adhesion and grip. Grab this one and help make the backcountry switch again!
Backseat Camrock – The Backseat CamRock design places rocker in the nose and a slight amount in the tail with positive camber in between. This setback design delivers camber stability and control between the feet and in the tail, with the added float and maneuverability of the rockered nose.
Flex Rating – 6
Directional Twin
Progressive Sidecut – A progressive sidecut design blends many radii and smooth contact points for buttery smooth turn initiation, edge-to-edge transition, and edge hold. It’s different for each model and matches the sidecut to the board’s specific camber profile.
Forever Woodcore – Constructed from four different lightweight wood species—paulownia, spruce, beech, and poplar—for a premium core that offers a highly tuned and dynamic feel. It’s flyweight, durable, filled with pop and highly reactive.
Tri-Ax Fiberglass – Tri-ax Fiberglass is a three-way weave of fiberglass with strands running at 45-degree angles. It provides superior pop, consistent torsional flex, and more overall response.
Bi-Ax Fiberglass – Bi-ax Fiberglass is a two-way weave of fiberglass with strands running every 90-degrees. It’s more forgiving, easier to flex and highly versatile for all terrain types.
Landing Strip – Strips of kevlar and carbon fiber placed from the inserts to the tips in the nose and tail to support landings and reduce washouts. This design also helps dampen high-speed chatter, offer stability at speed and load up potent ollies.
Sintered Base – Fast, durable, and requires less waxing.
Belt Finish – A belt finish gets your base optimized to accept wax.
Ultimate Traction – This small counter radius (bump) placed in the middle of the board’s sidecut improves edge hold without creating drag or strange edge grip. It adds extra bite on ice and turns regular turns into confident carves.
Factory Waxed – All Slash boards are factory waxed with One-Ball Jay wax and ready to shred straight out of the wrapper.
