WNDR Alpine is the new name in backcountry skiing. Centered around an innovative microalgae-based material, WNDR skis are light, strong, and eco-friendly. The Vital 100 is the narrower of the two shapes they currently offer, and is designed for long uphills with technical descents. It is offered in either a rockered or cambered version, allowing you to pick just the right profile for your riding style. The WNDR Alpine Vital 100 Camber Skis offer precise edge hold, nimble maneuverability, and superior versatility for hard snow descents on spring tours or high alpine lines.

Core
Algal Core – The Algal Core is a composite of vertically laminated, locally sourced aspen with high-density, algal polyurethane stringers. Biobased carbon content 41% by ASTM D6866.
Laminates
Biobased Super Sap® – Biobased Super Sap® technology replaces traditional petroleum-based resin systems. Entropy Resins® minimize the carbon footprint of WNDR Alpine products. The certified bio-based content per ASTM D6866 of the ER-305 Resin is 28%.
Sidewalls
Algal Wall – Algal Wall cast polyurethane sidewalls are made utilizing a proprietary biobased polyurethane, engineered to improve edge hold and bondline strength with core over traditional materials. Algal Wall sidewalls utilize a novel manufacturing technique that diverts plastic waste from the landfill compared to traditional use of ABS plastic sidewalls. Biobased carbon content 60% by ASTM D6866.

All-Mountain All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm. Alpine Touring Also known as backcountry skis, alpine touring (AT) skis are designed for going uphill as well as downhill. These skis are typically light for their width and many feature fittings that accept climbing skins. AT skis vary in width and weight, with the wider heavier versions usually used for winter/deep snow touring and the skinnier, lighter skis usually used for spring/summer/long distance touring.

Rocker/Camber/Rocker Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as well as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
