A comp-worth freeride ski for the thinking big mountain specialist, the Faction Studio 3 Skis are fat enough to even the deepest days but have a measure of precision and quickness that the Studio 4 doesn't. As with other Studio versions, the "3" uses a lightweight Poplar wood core and a Carbon Stringer construction for pop and power, along with wider 2.5mm edges and a Carbon/Rubber Stomp Pad to minimize shock.

Full Carbon Weave – Between 8 and 12 strips of carbon, sandwiching either side of the ski’s woodcore, are laid unidirectionally, providing extra stability to the ski, without adding weight to the build. Each carbon strip is woven into the fiberglass to provide strength and stiffness in the full length of the ski.
Carbon Rubber Stomp Pad – For extra absorption on those huge hits.

XL 2.5mm Edges – Fractions of a millimeter might not sound like much, but when it comes to edges, it adds up. The 2.5mm edges add an extra 25% of height to Faction's standard 2mm edge, making for a stronger and more durable ski.

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Rocker/Camber/Rocker Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as well as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
