The Blizzard Anomaly 88 Skis were on the feet of plenty of evo employees this season, and to a skier they drew rave reviews. Not exactly a replacement for the revered Brahma, the Anomaly 88 is probably 95% as stable at the top end but adds maneuverability and manners at more moderate speeds and tight quarters, something that adds value when you're sketched in challenging terrain or simply skiing at moderate speeds. Any day when you can't sink more than 2 or 3 inches, the Anomaly 88 with a bit more tip rocker than other 88mm frontside ski will crush it without complaint.

Rocker Type
Rocker Camber Rocker – Ski profile with rocker at the tip and tail, camber in the middle. Reducing the pressure on the edge at the tip and tail makes the ski even easier to handle and increases flotation on powder snow. The camber guarantees great grip on packed snow.
Core
TrueBlend All Mountain Core – TrueBlend core of Beech and Poplar, tailor-made for each Anomaly model and each length.
Laminates
Two-Piece Upper Titanal Laminate for Grip and Stability – No longer a single sheet of Titanal, the Anomaly series uses a two-piece laminate with a sheet of fiberglass in between the layers. The upper layer of metal resembles the shape of the FluxForm Titanal layer in the Rustler skis and the second layer fills in the gap in the center.
Lower Titanal Laminate – A full width Titanal laminate is placed under the core.
Sidewalls
Full Length ABS Sidewalls – Provide direct energy transfer under the bindings and precision during the turn.

Rocker/Camber/Rocker Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as well as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
