Burton Malavita EST Snowboard Bindings 2016
Choose the binding that Burton's team riders know and trust to get the job done -- the Burton Malavita EST Snowboard Bindings. Supportive, comfortable and prepared to withstand the wear and tear from aggressive boarding. The extremely lightweight EST® baseplate evenly distributes rider energy input to the board for an improved flex and feel. B3 Gel in the footbed absorbs vibrations before they can travel to your boots - saving your legs from burning out. There's no doubt about it, the Burton Malavita EST Snowboard Bindings were made to perform.
EST® Baseplate Construction: Carbon fiber and dual composite nylon. Made for performance, durability and epic response. Lightweight cushioning under your feet in exchange for heavy materials typically used in baseplate construction result in an even flex, unmatched comfort and support. *Limited Lifetime Baseplate Warranty
The Hinge: Exclusive to EST® Baseplates. This Burton technology encourages the baseplate to flex in unison with your legs. This gives you increased board feel, reduced fatigue and power to ollie.
B3 Gel: In the footbed, B3 gel dramatically dampens vibrations and absorbs impacts. Formulated to withstand repeated impacts without breaking down or hardening up in cold temperatures.
AutoCANT SensoryBED™: Dual-density EVA settles your boot into a natural and comfortable position. Regardless of your stance width or angles, this anatomical boot-to-binding alignment improves comfort, board control while reducing fatigue.
Highback:
Canted Living Hinge™ Hi-Back: [All Other Colorways] Burton created a lightweight, minimal hardware hi-back that allows you to adjust your forward lean and rotation separately. In addition, the hi-back offers an ergonomic (canted) design. For you this means a seamless interface that contours to you and your snowboard boots, providing unmatched comfort and board control.
DialFLAD™: Use the tool-free DialFLAD™ feature on your hi-backs for a quick and easy forward lean adjustment.
Heel Hammock: Reinforced rubbery material wraps around the heel of your boot for greater response.
Winged Hi-Back: [Reaper Colorway Only] Wraps around the outside of your boot for greater lateral support. Increased leverage and control when pressing, buttering and spinning.
Zero Forward Lean: Riders who prefer a more playful relaxed feel will love Burton's Zero Forward Lean hi-back design element. You can still crank them forward for the pipe or gnarly carving.
Straps:
Asymmetrical Hammock™ Strap: Simple, seamless 3D curved construction. The laterally supportive asymmetrical shape is reversible so you can choose between power or mobility. Made of ultra light padding that remains soft in cold temps, and a triple axis spine for response and flex.
Flex Slider: Makes the ankle straps move out of the way so you can step into the binding without obstruction. Burton's Flex Slider has a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Super Grip Capstrap™: Utilizing a minimalist design comprised two materials blended together to create a high-performance toe strap. A firm material in the spine adds durability, strength, and support. The soft over molded material improves grip and comfort.
Buckles:
Double Take Buckles: Tracking teeth and Insta-Click engagement combined for increased cranking power. Not only does this vastly improve the binding's strength; it makes them easier to use -- You can achieve a tight, secure fit with minimal effort.
Additional Features:
Features re-ground materials to reduce waste.
Rides exclusively with Burton Board's featuring The Channel.

Ability Level:
Intermediate-Advanced
Intermediate-Advanced
Whether you’re a progressing intermediate exploring new runs and terrain, or an accomplished rider seeking new thrills, the majority of skiers and snowboarders fall into this level. Intermediate to advanced skis and snowboards may be somewhat wider or stiffer than beginner-intermediate skis and snowboards, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Intermediate to advanced boots and bindings range from softer flexing freestyle options to stiffer choices built for stability at speed.
Flex Rating:
Medium
Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
