The System True Rocker design works amazingly in backcountry conditions because it still maintains a large amount of snow contact for control and speed. You can expect the Abacus to last a while too, considering the carbon fiber reinforcements, 360-Degree Full Wrap Sidewalls, Stainless Steel protectors on the nose and tail, and Mixed Glassing lamination - it's actually got more armor than a tank.
