Moment Bibby Skis 2014

With a modified rocker profile, sidecut and dimensions, the Moment Bibby Skis are back for 2014 and better than ever before. After extensive testing, the Bibby is now a wider, more powder-oriented and playful ski. Lighter materials and improved construction techniques maintain a low swing weight, while a flatter Mustache Rocker improves the Bibby's surfy nature. Tie it all together with a marginally tighter turning radius, and you have have an incredibly nimble powder eating machine that is still more than capable of putting down a quick turn on hardpack.

Product Details

Rocker Type:
Mustache Rocker: Traditional camber underfoot with rocker at the tip and tail. Camber gives you high-speed stability and edge hold on hardpack, while rocker at both ends feels loose and playful in variable snow. Mustache Rocker
Flex:
Flex Rating 8 (1 Softest - 10 Stiffest): A stiff flex for charging through crud, over groomers, in the park, or through powder. In reality, whatever tickles your fancy.
Sidecut:
Modified for 2014 to provide a marginally tighter turning radius
Core:
Aspen: Light in weight, durable in flex life, and poppy in nature
Pine: A versatile, poppy and damp wood that assists in tuning the flex pattern in the cores of Moment's park, all-mountain, and powder skis. It is a very strong material with great rebound properties and a long flex life.
Laminates:
Carbon Fiber: Moment uses carbon fiber in all of its skis, either in the form of woven uni-directional stringers or carbon tow threads added to the laminate matrix. Lighter than fiberglass, metal, or basalt, carbon helps tune and strengthen the ski while adding longevity to the flex profile.
Fiberglass Matrix: In addition to carbon fiber, Moment uses three types of fiberglass laminates to fine-tune each ski's flex pattern. Triaxial glass adds twisting strength and longitudinal stiffness. Biaxial weaves add torsional stiffness. Unidirectional glass helps absorb vibration and stiffen the ski from tip to tail.
Topsheet:
Sublimated Graphics: A non-toxic and eco-friendly alternative to silk screening.
Sidewalls:
UHMW Polyethylene: An extruded Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene: it is extremely light, durable, and resistant to separation.
Base:
1.2 mm Durasurf 4001 Sintered: This U.S.-made base material takes a beating while staying fast. It is harder and has better wax-absorbtion properties than extruded bases, making it the industry standard for performance and longevity.
Edges:
2.2 mm Rockwell 48 C Hardened Steel: Heat-treated both at the source and in-house at Moment, these edges are extremely hard and ductile, ensuring you get the most life out of your skis.
Graphics:
Artists: Christopher Everhart & Zac Gorman
Binding Compatibility:
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
