Burton Nugget Snowboard - Women's 2014
Bigger may be better, but shorter is sweeter! The 2014 Burton Nugget Snowboard is incredibly fun and nimble due to its RADuction level of 10, meaning that you should ride it 10 cm shorter than your standard board length. The result is a livelier, more playful rockered deck that is easier to throw around and learn new tricks on.
Flat Top: Burton's Flat Top snowboards are flat underfoot and a little beyond the bindings. This profile gives you ample stability underfoot, better balance and constant edge control. The tip and tail kick up slightly with an early rise outside of the feet so you gain that catch-free ride.
Flex:
Flex Rating: 3 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff): A medium flex for easy turn initiation and forgiving landings.
Twin Flex: Having a twin flex indicates that your board is perfectly symmetrical in flexibility from tip to tail so you gain a more balanced and predictable ride.
Shape:
Twin: The shape is perfectly symmetrical for a balanced ride that's equally versatile when ridden regular or switch. Jib, spin, stomp, and butter with a greater balance of freestyle mobility and cat-like stability no matter which way you point it.
Side Effects: Lengthening the surface area at the tip and tail contact points improves edge-hold and allows the board to plane easier in powder. Enjoy a livelier feel and enhanced grip on groomers along with added float for overhead days.
Nug Raduction™: Optimizes every element—from waist width and flex profile to sidecut and running length—letting you downsize up to 10 cm from your normal board length. Light and lively, easy to throw around, surprisingly floaty, poppy, and stable at speed—Nug Raduction™ will change the way you look at board length.
Core:
Women's Specific True Flex Super Fly II™: Designed to target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight, this core is further optimized for float in Burton's freeride focused boards, and strength in park-focused boards.
Dual Zone™ EGD™: Engineered Grain Direction manipulates the angles and direction of wood grains in the core for superior edge-hold, response, and durability.
Laminates:
Jumper Cables: Jumper Cables on the NEW Process V-Rocker, NEW Déjà Vu V-Rocker, Blunt, Hate, and Social are ultra-light carbon stringers that radiate energy outward from your feet towards the tip and tail. Beyond adding amplitude to your ollies, they also create more snap when powering through turns. For maximum flight, the Jumper Cables Hi-Voltage on the Joystick, Hero, Hero Limited and Lip-Stick use carbonated rods for ultra-electrified pop and performance.
Triax™ Fiberglass: Versatile flex and response for everything from mini to mega shred
Base:
Sintered Base: Compression hardened amorphous UHMW skived from the billet to create the toughest, fastest, best wax holding material around - slides best and fastest when waxed regularly to match local snow conditions
Edges:
Frostbite Edges: Edges beneath your bindings extend out slightly for tremendous edgehold on hard, icy conditions. Powerful when you need them, playful when you don’t, Frostbite Edges are hungry for hard-pack while remaining forgiving in softer conditions.
Graphics:
Stink Ink: The topsheet graphics are printed with scratch 'n sniff paint for a board that both shreds AND smells great.
Additional Features:
Scoop: This exaggerated tip and tail scooping turns up the edges for a looser, more forgiving feel that adds catch-free fun when riding everything from a knee-high box to neck-deep pow.
Infinite Ride™: This Burton-exclusive technology allows Burton to maximize pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.
Binding Compatibility:
The Channel™: Gives you the quickest, easiest way to mount your bindings with the most stance options possible: Take control of your stance and your board like never before, micro-adjust your width and angles with ALL major binding formats including EST®, Re:Flex™, and Disc. M6 hardware means it's compatible with all major binding companies, making it a choice for any rider.

Terrain:
All-Mountain
All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
Ability Level:
Intermediate-Advanced
Intermediate-Advanced
Whether you’re a progressing intermediate exploring new runs and terrain, or an accomplished rider seeking new thrills, the majority of skiers and snowboarders fall into this level. Intermediate to advanced skis and snowboards may be somewhat wider or stiffer than beginner-intermediate skis and snowboards, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Intermediate to advanced boots and bindings range from softer flexing freestyle options to stiffer choices built for stability at speed.
Rocker Type:
Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.

Flex Rating:
Soft
Soft
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
