The Salomon Quest 8 Ski Boots are lightweight, convenient all-mountain performance boots with a unique magnesium Backbone system to combine easy walking, touring and great skiing performance. Plus, with an 80 flex and 100mm last you get the power, precision and comfort that demanding skiers require.

Mono material PP upper cuff consisting of Polypropylene which is softer and lighter than PU with high UVA resistance

My Custom Fit Comfort Liner with thermoformable tongue for better tibial comfort
Biovent is the first breathable liner a ski boot to keep feet warm all day. This technology helps regulate body temperature thanks to a multilayer construction inspired from apparel.
Additional Features:
Backbone release, taken from the X-3 lab, is a Magnesium piece linking the cuff to the shell.
Salomon’s patented Ride & Hike technology combines the backbone release with a specific V-cut shape on the back of the lower shell. This allows for a wider rear cuff opening when hiking (backbone unlocked) and true alpine forward flex when skiing down (backbone locked) because the backside of the backbone fits precisely into the V-cut lower shell.
