Construction:
Thin Profile 3D Molded Tongue: Adjusting the profile of the tongue’s thickness controls its flex, enhances its ability to wrap the forefoot, and reduces shell/liner stack-up for improved comfort.
The Articulating Cuff creates a fluid forward flex by allowing the upper and lower cuff of the boot to flex independently, thus minimizing shell distortion and maximizing heel hold and response.
The new EST™ Optimized midsole puts riders in direct connection with their setup. Reduced profile, weight, and ramp angle means a totally new realm of board feel and control without sacrificing an ounce of cushioning, thanks to strategically placed B3 Gel inserts.
Flex Rating and Fit:
Flex: 4 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff). The Burton Axel Snowboard Boots are a softer boot perfect for buttery park runs, late-night street sessions and riders who don’t want to be restricted by a stiff boot.
Liner and Lacing:
Whether you have funky cankles or a grotesque sixth toe, rest assured that your feet will be wrapped with comfort in Burton’s Flex liner. While they fit great out of the box, you can even custom mold these babies to the shape of your foot with Burton’s EMU heat-molding system, found at your local shop.
The unique flex characteristics allow the new Flex Spine Backstay to flex laterally for maximum mobility while providing ample edge-to-edge support when it’s time to throw down the landing gear.
Speed Zone Lacing System offers true zonal lacing control on-the-go.
