Fox Shox 36 Float Factory GRIP X Fork - 29"

The Fox Shox 36 Float Factory GRIP X Fork is the full-send version of the 36 lineup — Kashima coated stanchions, Kabolt-X axle, updated GRIP X damper, and a new Glidecore air spring in 150 or 160mm of travel. It delivers that enduro-caliber stiffness and small-bump sensitivity in a package that's still light enough to climb efficiently, making it the go-to for aggressive all-mountain and light enduro riding. Dialed, predictable, and built to take a beating without losing composure.

Product Details

Construction & Measurements:
Kashima Coated Stanchions: The smoothest of the smooth, plus it looks cooler. The gold Kashima coating has become synonymous with friction-free suspension actuation, and it's only available on Fox Factory components.
Redesigned Arch & Crown: Generatively designed and optimized by FOX engineers, the new 36 arch wraps around the lowers to increase torsional stiffness of the fork by a full 20%. This now gives the 36 a veritable 87% of the torsional stiffness found on the 38 (up from 75%), while remaining 275g lighter than the 38.
Inboard Bypass Channels: Bypass channels help curb pressure ramping for increased small bump sensitivity, as well as recirculating bath oil to lubricate bushings and seals. By relocating the bypass channels from the aft side of the fork to the inboard side, they are now out of the fore-aft load path to further reduce dynamic friction throughout the fork’s travel.
Increased Bushing Overlap: The 36 SL increases the bushing overlap by 20mm over the 34 for a smoother feeling fork overall. Riders will notice additional suppleness at higher speeds when bending loads on the fork are at their greatest.
1.5" Tapered Aluminum Steerer
Features:
FLOAT Glidecore Air Spring: The seamlessly compliant FLOAT Glidecore Air Spring reduces friction and bind by moving with the fork under dynamic load for smoother suspension action.
Low Profile Bleeders: Grooved design allows pressure to escape around your finger as you press the bleeder.
Air Spring Top Cap: Uses the common Shimano cassette tool for easy volume adjustments.
Kabolt X Axle: Kabolt, a lightweight bolt-on floating axle to shave grams and increase torsional stiffness via a sleeveless, single-sided pinch bolt design.
Rotor Size: 180 Direct Post Mount, Up to 230 Compatible
Adjustments:
GRIP X Damper: Trail and all-mountain riders no longer need to choose between a descent-focused damper or a lightweight endurance damper. GRIP X exudes exemplary descent performance, refined for less weight, easier set up and an easy access firm mode for pedaling efficiency.
Fork Adjustments: Rebound, High / Low Speed Compression, Firm Mode
