Baseplate:

Reduced Baseplate Height: This feature removes some distance between you and your board which results in improved stability and quicker edge-to-edge transition.
Disk: Direct Connect System: A direct connection between you and your snowboard. By fully removing the disk from the baseplate, Union has been able to drastically improve the reaction speed between the rider and the snowboard, increase baseplate strength, and simultaneously reduce the overall weight of the binding. Disks are a thing of the past. This all-new mounting system only relies on two screws and two washers to get the job done. 4x2 compatible.
