Line Poisson Skis 2027

Another fishy entrée from the redoubtable Line, the catch of the day is the new Line Poisson Skis. Light-hearted and playful but with a strength that goes deep, the Poisson has a healthy dose of straightline stability brought about by a Titanal laminate that takes the Blade construction to a new level, with varying "flanges" cut into the metal to give the ski power underfoot and the tips and tails a smooth and play-worthy softer flex. The tail also has a unique Slash Trigger shape, with extra taper south of the contact point to allow easier drifting and slashing. Long story short, the Poisson lets you charge with the best of them, but offers a unique abililty to drift and slarve even at top speed.

Product Details

Rocker Type:
Early Rise™: Tip and tail lift away from the snow to bring the contact points closer to the center of the ski. This increases a ski's lift in deep snow and allows it to engage more quickly on hardpack. Early Rise™
Flex:
Directional Flex: The softer tip floats and initiates turns easily while the stiffer tail provides power, stability and high speed control.
Sidecut:
5-Cut™ Geometry: Five different radiuses are blended into the ski's sidecut. The result? A wide variety of turn shapes and an intuitive feel. 5-Cut™ Geometry
Shape:
Step Tail: Borrowed from surfboard shaping, the Step Tail tapers radically at the end of the ski and includes a mild "fishy" indent. The result is increased planing in deep snow and a unique ability to loosen up the tail without decreasing edgehold on firm snow.
Core:
Maple and Paulownia Wood Core
Laminates:
Titanal Laminate: Blending the Blade's Gas Pedal Metal and the Optic's Overdrive Tech, but with unique segmented flanges placed to deliver the precise flex required in each area of the ski.
Uni-Carbon Stringers: Inject pop and energy
Sidewalls:
Sidewall Construction: Ultra-high density Polyethylene vertical walls over the edges to absorb vibrations and provide powerful energy transmission. Sidewall Construction
Base:
Sintered 1.3 mm Base: Sintered bases reduce friction against the snow allowing for more speed, and more durability due to the high-density material they're crafted from.
Edges:
2.1mm x 2mm
Binding Compatibility:
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
