RE ZRO®: ION's proprietary impact protection material, and the standout feature is that it's biodegradable. On impact, its molecular bonds fracture and dissipate energy as heat and sound (a shear-thinning effect), which is what gives it that flexible, but protective feel. Once disposed of in a landfill, it breaks down at the molecular level into biogas and biomass, estimated to fully "return to zero" within three to five years.
