If the neon jumpsuit didn't cue you in, the Black Crows Orb Freebird Skis are made for the fast-and-light crowd. These featherweight touring skis have a slender profile laid up in weight saving materials for an optimized hiking experience. But the 90mm waist isn't quite in the realm of uphill-only skimo volcano sticks. The Orb is a beauty on the way up, but still plenty powerful and fun on the way down, perfect for spring corn harvests and other excursions where the hike is long but the goal is still a general good time.
