Eschewing the usual practice of using a superlight Paulownia core in narrower touring skis, the Helio Recon 88 uses a bomber Poplar core with full Pre-Preg Fiberglass layup - in other words, typical alpine ski construction - so you and your brain won't be caught hanging in that icy 50˚ chute.
