Speedwall Multi Layer Woodcore: The sidewall is laminated to extremely stable layers of wood on the sides of the sandwich core. In combination with a more flexible, lighter wood built into the center of the sandwich core, this construction provides numerous advantages: the hardwood immediately adjacent to the sidewall effects a higher power transmission, improves the edge grip and supports the edge against external forces. The low weight of the softwood in the middle of the ski brings more agility and maneuverability and reduces overall ski weight. The combination of both wood types running through the entire ski length contributes to an optimal distribution of the ski stiffness increasing the steering precision.

3D.Glass: Compared to classic glass constructions, the three-dimensional and multiple-folded glass layers in the binding area result in an increased edge grip and a more vivid rebound behavior in turns.

Powered by Titanium: A Titanal layer just under the topskin delivers dampness and power at speed.

Full Sidewall: Full length sidewalls make for direct and strong power transmission.

P-Tex 4504 Base: A sintered, ultra-high molecular polyethylene base with an extremely high density. Besides a great wear resistance and perfect wax absorption, P-Tex 4504 is extremely fast and exclusively used on Volkl's top of the line and race models. The material has been upgraded with special additives to make it thermal and electro-conductive and proves its qualities with premium glide and maximum speed in races.

Race Finish: For a better grip in fast and tight turns, Volkl World Cup skis come with a special race finish edging. While the SL models feature 0,7° on the base and 87,6° on the side, the GSL models come with a 0,8° base and 87,6° on the side.
