Armada Tracer 108 Skis 2020

Blurring the line between big mountain freeriding and alpine touring, the Armada Tracer 108 Skis are a jack of all trades with daily driver potential for those in the West. Coming in at a weight that hints at the 50/50 resort/touring category you might worry that the trade off is inferior downhill performance, but you would be dead wrong! The Tracer 108 rocks the descent thanks to a lively Poplar-Caruba core, AR75 sidewalls, and adaptive mesh laminate that makes for a stable, predictable feel in variable snow.

Product Details

Rocker Type:
EST Freeride Rocker: Forebody rocker and extra tip-taper combine to create EST for optimized float in the soft stuff. Positive camber underfoot ensures these skis stay on rails when carving is the priority.
Flex:
Flex Pattern (1 Soft - 10 Stiff): Tip: 6.5 | Waist: 7 | Tail: 7.5
Shape:
Taper Tops: Beveled topsheets shave mass and lower profile in high density snow, while strengthening the ski's perimeter for maximum efficiency and stability.
Core:
Hybrid Caruba Core: A combination of lightweight woods and full-length hardwood stringers, the hybrid Caruba core creates the ultimate in weight savings, agility, and maneuverability without sacrificing security or dampness
Laminates:
Adaptive Mesh: A variable angle weave optimizes vibration damping along the length of the ski to make the ski more damp, stable and touch without adding weight.
Laminate Matrix: Directional layering of fiberglass dictates flex pattern and torsional rigidity.
Titanal Binding Reinforcement: Rubber and Titanal are sandwiched together to dampen vibrations.
Sidewalls:
AR75 Sidewalls: Sidewalls provide improved edge pressure under the boot, while cap constuction in the tip and tail provides smooth turn initiation and less hookiness - 75% sidewall, 25% cap.
Base:
Comp Series Base: Sintered UHMW polyethylene with added carbon aids in speed and durability on snow.
Edges:
1.7mm Impact Edge: Heat treated, built to avoid excess weight while maintaining durability.
Additional Features:
I-Clip Tails: Ready for climbing skin tailclips.
Binding Compatibility:
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
