The strong flexing, highly responsive K2 Recon 120 MV Heat Ski Boots provide both warmth and peak performance for those looking to ski all over the resort. Equipped with all the same features as the Pro level boot but with a slightly more modest flex that's ideal for advanced all-mountain skiers. What's more, by utilizing K2's new Powerlite shell construction the Recon 120 is able to achieve a blissfully light weight and can be heat molded to match the specific contours of your feet. Capped off with Therm-ic heat systems integrated into the liners, the K2 Recon 120 MV Heat Ski Boots put the kabosh on cold feet -- no bulky battery packs, no wires!
Custom Thermo Shell: The shell can be heat molded, punched, ground and customized with your favorite boot fitter for optimized comfort and performance. The shell can be widened up to 6 mm with this process.
Fast Fit Instep: Softer TPU materials designed into the instep area of the Powerlite shell for quick and easy entry and exit.
Flex:
Flex: 120: A stiff flex suitable for advanced to expert level skiers.
Liner:
PrecisionFit Pro: Pre-molded and lasted with Ultralon heat moldable foams. Features an asymmetric tongue, pre-molded ankle pockets and a high density power collar for a firm but comfortable performance fit.
Therm-ic Heat System: Integrated heating system to keep your feet warm on cold days. Increases mobility and performance of foot muscles. Three heat settings provide warmth from 4 to 19 hours. Fully charges in 6 to 7 hours with a USB cable.
Shell Materials & Design:
Powerlite Shell: The totally new Powerlite shell is purpose-built to result in the best skiing, lightest weight boots ever produced. Made with four different stiffnesses of TPU and optimized wall thickness profiling, the Powerlite shell achieves a paradoxical balance of lightweight agility and power. The resulting boots weigh in as some of the lightest alpine boots on the market, yet they ski with all the power and drive of heavier boots.
PowerFuse SpYne: A rear co-injected “Y” shaped design that adds strength and power to the Energy Interlock, the PowerFuse SpYne maximizes fore/aft flex efficiency and lateral stiffness for sustained performance and responsiveness in all terrain. Because of the SpYne, K2 is able to optimize materials in the cuff and shell, eliminating excessive vibrations in rough terrain.
Energy Interlock: A rivet-free technology that integrates the cuff and shell, putting less stress on the boot's material and produces a smoother, progressive flex.
Stance:
Cuff Alignment Index: Dual sided cuff alignment for +/- 2˚ of cuff adjustment.
Forward Lean Adjustment: 12° or 14° with Power Wedge.
Buckles:
4 Aluminum Micro-Adjustable Lightweight Buckles
Power Strap:
45mm PowerCinch Power Strap
Sole:
Cantable Outsoles
Dual Material Replaceable ISO 5355 Outsoles
GripWalk® Outsoles Available Separately: Removable and interchangeable ISO 9523 alpine rockered soles collaboratively designed to work with Marker's GripWalk binding system for better grip and added comfort when walking and standing in boots, but doesn't compromise the power transmission and release function between the boot and binding when skiing.
