Prepared to rip rails on a daily basis, the 2.5mm edges dampen hits while providing excellent edge control. Speaking of dampening, the carbon reinforcement transfers impact throughout the entirety of the ski and provides a feeling of confidence at speed. Nimble at it's core and built to push your boundaries, the micro-cap construction keeps the Faction CT 1.0 Skis chip-free. Rocker Type:

Rocker / Camber / Rocker: 320mm rocker in the tip, 3mm camber underfoot, and 310mm in the tail.

Flex:

Stiff Flex: 7/10 - Designed to provide bite and stability in steep terrain and variable snow.

Sidecut:

Symmetrical Shape: Designed to handle identically forward and switch.

Core:

Poplar/Beech Wood Core: Great hold on hard snow with a light and snappy feel.

Carbon Reinforcement Underfoot

Sidewalls:

Sandwich Construction: Used on most of Faction's skis. A traditional manufacturing method that provides strength, durability, good grip, and edge hold. Rubber is used to dampen vibration and bond the base layers to the core.

Multi-Colored Sidewall

Micro-Cap Protection: Continuing efforts to improve chip-resistance in their skis, Faction incorporated a 'micro' cap where the topsheet meets the sidewall on sandwich constructed skis.

Base:

Die-Cut PTEX 3000 Base: Used on most Faction Skis. Sintered PTEX 3000 base material is more porous and holds wax well.

Edges:

2.5mm Edges: The 2.5mm edges are stronger than 1.8mm edges to withstand rail abuse.

Graphics:

Matte Textured Topsheet: Matte ICP8210 topsheets require no lacquering saving around 100gm/pair, and reduces the use of not-quite-environmentally friendly lacquer. It also shows through the natural structure of the underlying laminate layers.
