Faction Agent 2.0 Skis 2020

Love the way the Dictator 2.0 skis, but want something lighter for long days on the skintrack? Faction has you covered this season with the Faction Agent 2.0 Skis. With the same sidecut and rocker profile as the Dictator, but a lighter all Karuba wood core and no metal (except under the binding mount area), the Agent 2.0 maintains the precise control and confidence on the steeps you need in a lighter, more uphill-oriented package.

Product Details

Rocker Type

350 mm Tip Rocker / 3 mm Camber / 210 mm Flat Tail Rocker

Flex

Flex Rating7 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)

Sidecut

Elliptical SidecutMade up of a longer radius underfoot and shorter radii in the tip and tail of the ski. The long radius underfoot means you can pivot faster and easier, while a shorter radius in the tip and tail results in seamless turn initiation. This sidecut allows for a wide variety of turn lengths and angles.

Shape

Surf ZonesUnites rocker and tip taper ensuring these two key features work in harmony. Rocker provides float and facilitates pivoting, while a tapered tip moves the widest part of the ski closer to the center and removes unwanted hooking. Surf Zones promise a floaty, seamless ride in all conditions.

Freeride Flat TailTraditional flat tail design is built for speed, ultimate edge grip and control throughout charging turns. Brought into the modern day with a slight tail rocker, this shape is easier than ever to slash your turn into a slarve and won't hook up in fresh conditions.

Core

Lightweight Karuba CoreKaruba is an extremely lightweight woodcore with good strength properties. Despite being little-known, Karuba provides a good flex and vibration absorption capabilities without adding weight, making it an ideal wood core for a touring ski that performs just as well on the uphill as on the downhill.

Laminates

Full Carbon StringersBetween 8 and 12 strips of carbon, sandwiching either side of the ski's woodcore, are laid unidirectionally, providing extra stability to the ski, without adding weight to the build. Each carbon strip is woven to provide strength and stiffness in all directions.

Titanal Binding PlateWhen you're on a day-long touring trip in the backcountry, you need to rely on your gear. Titanal reinforcement plates are laid up on top of the lightweight cores ensuring that your binding screws hold. This one-piece design fits alpine and touring bindings, adding trustworthy durability to these lightweight cores.

Sidewalls

Full Strength SidewallThis construction places strips of protective material along the sides of each core, between the edge and the topsheet. Sidewalls provide the best possible edge hold and stability when the ski is engaged in a turn as well as protecting the wood core, edges and topsheet from impacts and outside damage.

Tip and Tail CapFull strength sidewall underfoot, with the topsheet wrapping around the ski so that it meets the edge in the tip and tail. This provides strong protection from impact, boosting the ski's durability, as well as reducing the overall weight of the ski for freestyle or touring needs.

Edges

XL 2.5 mm Edges7 fractions of a milimeter might no sound like much, but when it comes to edges, it adds up. The 2.5mm edges stack an extra 35% of height on top of the already super-durable 1.8mm edges. This extra steel gives the rider a pair of skis that can take more abuse and last longer.

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Marker Griffon 13 ID Ski Bindings

As you develop as a skier, pushing harder and skiing faster, you find out that pre-release can be just as dangerous as failure to release. Performance, light weight, and reliability are what have made the Griffon evo's most popular alpine binding over the years and the new Marker Griffon 13 ID Ski Bindings maintain that tradition. The Griffon ID introduces a new AFD (Anti-Friction Device) with a greater adjustment range, meant to function equally well with either Alpine ISO 5355 or Touring ISO 9523 soles.

Toe Piece

Triple Pivot Elite ToeToe construction with impressive retention when freeriding. The spring in the toe is inserted horizontally and with a sole plate inclined by 5° it provides the highest energy absorption so as to reduce the risk of early release. The large supporting surface optimizes the power transmission and allows for great stresses and strains. In relation to their weight, toes with this technology therefore achieve a never-seen-before performance.

AFD Gliding PlateAll Marker bindings (except the Jester Pro) are equipped with a moveable AFD (Anti Friction Device), allowing a precise release unhindered by dirt, snow, and ice buildup. The type of AFD is matched to the skier type, ensuring perfect functionality from racing to junior and even alpine touring.

Sole.IDMarker Sole.ID allows Marker Authorized Retailers to adjust Sole ID equipped bindings to every type of adult ski boot sole, from ISO 5355 Alpine to ISO 9523 Touring, with a height adjustable gliding plate (AFD).

Heel Piece

Inter Pivot HeelThe stunning heel construction delivers superior holding power for freeriding. The Inter Pivot Heel directs the power forces in the angle of elasticity improving the holding power and reducing pre-releases.
