2027 Arbor Astrowaste Snowboard Review

"This thing, it bends real nicely in the middle, giving you a very playful, easy ride over most features. On edge, it holds real good."

The Arbor Astrowaste Snowboard is Bryan Iguchi's newest signature deck, and it introduces a first-of-its-kind Dual Parabolic profile that blends parabolic camber with parabolic rocker. The result is a hybrid ride that feels mellow and surfy without going washy. It also has a volume-shifted shape you size down on, plus Grip Tech and 3D Fenders, so it bends easily, floats with little effort, and still holds a carve when you lay it over.

Pros

  • The Dual Parabolic profile blends a mellow, surfy feel with solid edge hold
  • The volume-shifted shape floats easily at medium speeds and thrives in tight trees on deep days
  • It bends easily through the middle for a playful, forgiving ride over features
  • It leaves real trenches on soft groomers
  • Grip Tech and 3D Fenders smooth out turn initiation without sacrificing control

Cons

  • It gets a bit chattery at high, straight-line speeds
  • It isn't built for steep, deep, technical terrain or hard charging
  • It's less at home on firm, hardpack days than in soft snow

Who Is It For?

The Astrowaste suits intermediate to advanced all-mountain riders who want a slightly directional, easygoing board for mellow days, family laps, and the occasional send. Think of it as the rad dad daily driver. This rider probably already owns something stiffer for charging and wants a playful, cruisy option that comes alive in powder, tight trees, and soft corduroy. If your days are mostly steep, deep technical lines or high-speed straightlining, look for a stiffer, more aggressive build.
