Mission:
Bike Works is a nonprofit that promotes the bicycle as a vehicle for change to empower youth and build resilient communities. They accept 7,000 bicycle donations every year, and return them to the road through their bike shop, free- and sliding-scale bicycle education programs for youth and adults, and bicycle giveaways for those who cannot afford them.

How evo supports Bike Works:
We are proud to sponsor Bike Works's annual events, including Bike-O-Rama where we helped give away more than 300 bikes to community kids last year. We've also developed a robust volunteer partnership - evo employees have helped build, repair and prep bikes as well as offered technical assistance with their website. This spring we'll host a bike drive at ATS for all Seattle-area supporters!

How you can help:
A gift to Bike Works today could have the following impact: Give a need-based scholarship to a youth to participate in Bike Works’ eight-week long Earn-a-Bike course where they learn bicycle mechanics, receive mentorship, and take home a bike of their own. You can also sponsor a youth for an after-school, peer mentoring drop-in session. Twice a week, Bike Works program grads can come to free, twice-weekly drop-in hours to hang out in a safe space, practice their mechanic skills, and earn community service hours. Bike Works youth will contribute more than 6,500 community service hours at drop-in sessions in the coming year.
