2027 Ride Vantum Snowboard Review

"It rides pretty much anything you throw at it. We took it through the park onto some rails, through some turns, rode it switch, and it kind of does everything you'd want it to do."

The Ride Vantum is brand new to Ride's lineup. It takes the quick, skate-style turn initiation of the Pig family and stretches it into a longer, more traditional directional platform. A Tapered Quadratic Sidecut, Zonal Carbon Rails that drive energy from the inserts out to the contact points, and a Urethane Channel that quiets nose chatter give it a board that loves to carve but doesn't punish you for goofing around. It's a true middle-ground stick that rides pretty much anything you point it at.

Pros

  • The Tapered Quadratic Sidecut snaps into turns fast and holds through both long, drawn-out carves and short, tight ones
  • Zonal Carbon Rails add snap and response at the tip and tail
  • The Urethane Channel and Slimewalls® smooth out vibration, especially when riding set back
  • A playful nose makes butters and skate-style maneuvers easy
  • It's truly versatile across groomers, powder, and park laps

Cons

  • Riding switch is doable but not its strong suit
  • As a jack-of-all-trades, it doesn't specialize in any one discipline

Who Is It For?

The Vantum suits a wide range of riders, from longtime snowboarders who want a friendlier, more forgiving feel to bigger or bigger-footed intermediates looking for something approachable that still holds an edge at speed. It sits squarely in the Intermediate-Advanced range and handles groomers, powder days, and the odd park lap without complaint. Dedicated jibbers who want a symmetrical twin for rail-heavy days should look at a more park-focused board instead.
