2027 Bataleon Stereo Snowboard Review

"I was really surprised with how stable it felt. You can really feel the full camber, but then the triple base takes off a little bit of that catchy feel. It's really stable, nimble, and super fun to ride."

The Bataleon Stereo Snowboard is brand new for 2027, a soft, jib-ready true twin that slots between the Disaster and the Evil Twin in Bataleon's park lineup. A mellower version of Bataleon's 3BT Triple Base Technology keeps it loose and forgiving, and carbon stringers under the inserts plus a triradial sidecut give it more pop and snap than the flex suggests. It's a light, lively park board that surprised us with how well it held up on groomers.

Pros

  • Soft, pressable flex makes butters and presses easy to lock into
  • Flat section underfoot keeps edges out of the way on rails and boxes
  • Carbon stringers add real pop without stiffening the board up
  • Surprisingly stable on groomers for a dedicated park board
  • Lightweight and nimble for quick, playful riding

Cons

  • Wants to pop out of turns fast, so it's not built for locked-in, all-day carving
  • Better suited to small and medium features than big jumps, halfpipe, or powder

Who Is It For?

The Stereo is built for park riders and freestyle-minded snowboarders who lap smaller jumps and jibs and want a light, nimble, poppy ride. Thanks to the full camber, it holds up better on groomers than you'd expect, so it works as a full-time freestyle board. Riders chasing all-day carving or powder should look elsewhere.

I grew up riding the hills of Ontario. Now I'd say my riding style is full-on Park Rat or Backcountry Pow riding, no in-between. My perfect day is open to close on the park chair, or deep in the backcountry doing sled laps. I love a pow turn, but I might like a nice rail more.
