Tecnica made a decision to abandon the "crossover" boot direction with their Zero G boot line for 2019 ("Hey, we already make the Cochise") and instead aim at making them pure touring boots that emphasized precise and powerful downhill capabilities. Once again, the Tecnica Zero G Tour Pro Alpine Touring Ski Boots defy stereotyping - they ski better than ever with a more positive locking mechanism at the rear and yet are approximately 200 grams lighter. The 99mm lasted shell fits almost identically to the older model, but the boot is more positive and secure during hard flexing. Other changes include a non-replaceable ISO 9523 sole with genuine Vibram rubber, new lighter magnesium buckles with the toe buckle inverted, and a Light Lock Power Strap that takes it's clever design from the Mach 1 series, making power strap adjustments during transitions a snap.
Last: 99 mm – Performance average fit for people with normal width and volume feet.
Bootfitter's Notes – Almost identical to the previous Zero G/Cochise fit for those familiar with those boots.
C.A.S. Shell – Custom Adaptive Shape shells are anatomically formed around the heel and problem areas at the factory. Common punch zones are plainly marked with a dot grid pattern on the shell, and the new polyether and Triax 3.0 shell materials offer improved stability when heated.
C.A.S. Grindable Boot Board – The removable C.A.S. boot board offers plenty of thickness for grinding and a grid pattern for reference.
Flex: 130 – Powerful, stiff flex for expert level skiers.
Ultralight Light Fit Liner – A superlight and comfortable waterproof/breathable liner with lace option.
Shell – Grilamid
Cuff – Co-Injected Carbon Fiber
Forward Lean Adjustment – 12˚ or 13˚
3.5° Ramp Angle
Double Locking Mobility Cuff System – Double locking system lever engages at both the cuff and lower shell for increased performance, stability and safety. Self-adjusting system reduces play as parts wear.
Re-Designed Cuff and Shell for Outstanding Range of Motion
Zero G Buckles – Uphill cuff buckles hold when loosened for skinning. Inverted shell wrapping on toe buckles, and extra light magnesium used throughout.
Light Lock Powerstrap – A lighter version of a design borrowed from the Mach 1 range, Light Lock facilitates quick and easy transitions from ski to touring mode.
Full ISO 9523 Touring Sole – Non-Replaceable Dual Density Full Vibram Rubber
