For a binding that will ski as well as any alpine setup, but still allow you the freedom to slap on skins and head into the backcountry when the mood strikes, the Salomon Guardian MNC 13 Large Ski Bindings is tough to beat. With the same proven toe and heel units used in the Warden 13, the Guardian MNC accommodates ISO 5355 Alpine, ISO 9523 Touring and WTR (Walk to Ride) sole shapes and provides the same powder-friendly easy step in action. The frame locking mechanism is placed to the rear of the binding, and so can be unlocked with a simple push of the pole tip without removing your skis.
