Protection Airbag System 3.0 – The Protection Airbag System 3.0 is an avalanche airbag system with a 3D-shaped brightly-colored airbag that deploys protectively around the wearer’s head, neck and chest area when activated. The airbag can therefore also provide protection from mechanical injuries. The new system is safe, easy to use, even lighter and smaller than before and can be installed in all Protection 3.0-compatible backpacks.

Only Compatible with 3.0 Backpacks – NOT compatible with Removable Airbag 2.0 backpacks (from W11-12 to W15-16).

Trigger Test Tool Included – This allows you to easily carry out practice deployments of the airbag (test deployment).

Warning – Wearing an airbag backpack is no guarantee of survival in an avalanche. Backcountry travelers are highly advised to educate themselves in snow stability assessment, route finding, and companion rescue and carry all of the conventional avalanche gear in addition to the airbag.

Cartridge Sold Separately – A Mammut refillable air cartridge is a necessary part of this system - we recommend the Refillable 207 Bar Aluminum Cartridge (Mammut's Carbon Cartridge is not available in the US).
