Mindo Cloud Forest Reserve

Sitting in the foothills and valleys below Pichincha, an active stratovolcano, the Mindo Cloud Forest is one of Ecuador's most beautiful and complex ecosystems. Most known for its birdwatching, the mist-filled rainforest is home to, dense green flora, cascading waterfalls and of course many species of birds, including, toucans and hummingbirds. Visitors can explore the reserve by foot, weaving around the rivers on trails and suspension bridges, or seek a little more adrenaline by checking out the canopy by zipline. Be sure to keep an eye out for other wildlife such as two-toed sloths and black howler monkeys as you explore this lush forest.
