Between the bustling street markets to the mountainous surroundings, La Paz is a must explore for those wanting to experience this South American gem. A short drive from town, the Animas Valley is the world’s largest geological tower sites and is the perfect introduction to the diverse landscape of Bolivia. North of the city lies one of the “guardian Mountains” of La Paz Huayna Potosi. Standing at 19,000 the snow-covered peak is an icon of the region and we will hike to its basecamp on day 6!
