Trip Planning

Trip Planning

Being prepared with the proper gear and equipment will make sure you are ready to have the time of your life on your Chamonix ski or snowboard trip. We suggest you bring your own skis or splitboard and backcountry gear if you have it. A ski with roughly a 100mm to 110mm waist is the best option, or a snowboard made for freeriding and powder. If you want to bring a wider pair of skis please feel free or we can rent these if needed. We highly recommend bringing or renting a backcountry touring set up as this will allow the group to really explore a wide variety of areas, though it is not required. Having this as a daily set up allows us to find the best snow on the resort, quick laps in the sidecountry or going a little deeper into the backcountry. There are also options for ski touring days if the groups wants. If you have a new pair of touring bindings or a split board and are comfortable riding a wide variety of terrain on them, please feel free to bring them. Always bring extra layers, good gloves, two pairs of goggles if you have them, or extra lenses, winter clothes for after skiing and a down jacket. We will be in the mountains so bring clothes that will keep you warm in a wide variety of conditions.

Testimonials
Chamonix is a must for any serious skier or rider...The trip in short was everything I wanted and more. The guides were exceptional, transportation to/from the chalet and the surrounding ski areas was great, food was amazing, and overall, people I had the chance to ride with were really unique and I felt safe skiing with them.

Skiing in Europe is best done with a local guide, whether on or off groomed areas. Chamonix is really over half-a-dozen areas plus what’s in Italy just through the Mont Blanc tunnel. You can’t ski everything in a week regardless, but without a guide you’ll spend half your time just trying to find where to begin each day.

Beyond all expectations! These guys rule. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable. The skiing was phenomenal. Decisions about where the best snow would be for the day’s conditions were always spot on. The terrain we skied matched the advanced level of the group so that everyone was comfortably challenged.
