I bought these because I have a plate in my wrist from an old fall and I'm always concerned with falls on hardpack. I have to say they work exactly as they should. They give me more confidence to go bigger and faster. The only drawback is that after a while they start to chafe, and you need to buy a bigger glove to fit over them.
