Answering the industry's push for plus-size tires, the Ibis 942 Carbon Fiber Wheelset retained the same rim widths as the 941s but with a shallower (19.5 mm) depth for a stronger, more impact-proof performance. With the 942, Ibis also introduces a new hybrid carbon fiber layup, combing layers of a newer high-strength carbon/epoxy prepeg with their original carbon composite. The result is a lower profile rim that's both lighter and stronger than ever before. Optimized to run super low tubeless tire pressures (i.e. 10-18 psi for 2.8"+ or 18-25 psi for 2.25"-2.5" tires), the Ibis 942 Carbon Fiber Wheelset is a worthy ultra-light upgrade built to maximize the thrill of long enduro-style epics.
