I've ridden them a couple times. I have larger feet and have struggled trying to get into bindings. The hinge tech makes entry a peice of cake. Only drawback so far is that they seem really soft on the upper ankle. I would like a little more support there. It sure is nice to ride without my feet hurting though.

I think this was their first version of the hinge (2007) and they have probably made improvements with the newer models.

The best aspect of these boots is their comfort and easy in-and-out. I wear a size 12 shoe and have a narrow foot so I purchased a size large which accomodates 11-12. If you're in-between sizes and have a wide foot, you may want to consider the larger size. [...] My only complaint, which reiterates many of the reviews for this product is that the boot doesn't offer high enough ankle support. I agree that another loop-hole or strap at the top would be a necessary improvement. I'm surprised that CWB didn't account for this when designing and testing this product-thus maybe some riders prefer more ankle flexibility-I definitely do not. To correct for this problem, I found securing a knot at the end of the slip keeps the lace from loosening. I've also modified the boot by placing sleeping bag straps around the top-may be dangerous for some. All of this said, as an intermediate rider who only rides 8 weekends in the summer, I'm happy enough with this purchase.

Awesome system. I have big feet, size 14 but my feet are very skinny so its hard to find a boot that grips yet is easy to get in and out of. This one excels, seems very durable and has a great look to boot. I bought anothe cwb binding because I like this one so much.

I'm an intermediate rider who rides once or twice a week in the summer. I bought these boots late last season after using hyperlite boots which were difficult to get in and out of. I read reviews about them and they seemed to have better reviews than the Zeus bindings so I decided to get the Factions. They are very easy to get in and out of and pretty comfortable except for the ankle area. The tongue moves to the side leaving your ankle unsupported and rubbing against the laces...maybe an extra row of lace loops or a strap would have fixed the problem?? To sum it up, I liked the Faction boots mainly because they are so easy to get in & out of, but would be a happier boarder if my ankle had a bit more support.

this boot has the most comfortable pad ever. i used three different setups of friends before buying these; they had the best reviews for this price, and after about 3 or 4 times (initial wear in) they fit like a champ. i wear size 11 shoes and these fit perfect. they cradle you on jumps that fall just short, and turn choppy water in to a minor issue. overall, this is the best boot i could find for this price, and this place is the best to buy from. any gear i get in the future will be bought after checking the reviews at evo.

I am an intermediate rider who has only been riding for around 2 years. I wear between a size 13-14 shoe and CWB was the only company I could find who actually made a binding big enough for me. I started out with Liquid Force Sphynx but immediately switched to CWB Faction Hinge and have never looked back. These are by far the easiest boots to put on and take off. I can even put them on dry! Took a little bit to get them broken in but now they are very comfortable. I only have one complaint. There should be some extra lace loops or some way to keep the tongue in place. When the tongue moves the laces tend to rub the side of my leg. This can become annoying. Other than that, I would buy these bindings over any other because of the overall comfort and ease of entry/exit.

I love how easy it is to get on and off. Durable and comforatable. The only thing is that it is a little heavy.

I'm a competitive wakeboarder so I was a little worried about not going with the Zeus bindings. I noticed that these factions had better reviews, easier entry, and better durability. All are true plus they give you a perfect blend of support and comfort. The hinge-tech system is genius. Nice work, Zane.
