The Salomon Q-98 Skis + Atomic L10 Bindings know a lot about charging; anywhere, anytime, it doesn't matter, versatility is the name of the game. With a full length woodcore and 98 mm waist, the Q-98 is stable and nimble on hard snow, yet wide enough underfoot to float through the blower. Salomon threw a honeycomb tip in the mix and dropped the swing weight, making the ski maneuverable when you're lining up that huck or straightline. Stop worrying about maybe's and expand your options. Whether it's pow, hardpack, or variable snow, the Q-98 will let you charge.

Utility Rocker – Designed for maximum versatility, directional stability, and float in powder.
Shape
Hook Free Taper – 5 Point sidecut shape with taper at the tip and tail for easier turning in deep and variable snow.
Core
Full Wood Core – Full-length woodcore from tip to tail offers stability and powerful rebound.
Laminates
Pulse Pad – Two layers of rubber elastomer in the tip, tail, and underfoot give shock absorption and improve durability of ski.
Honeycomb Tip – More Float, Less Flop. Super light honeycomb/Koroyd insert, reinforced with ABS. Less weight at the extremities with increased dampening from Koroyd dramatically increases maneuverability and ease of steering on rockered skis.
Sidewalls
Semi Sandwich Sidewall – A combination of ABS sidewall in the middle of the ski and monocoque in the tip and tail means edge grip underfoot and light weight in the tip and tail.

Rocker/Camber/Rocker Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as well as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
