Comments about One Ball Jay Magne-Traction Edge Sharpener:

I really wasn't sure how to use this tool, the file comes out of the mold, the directions are vague and I really didn't want to "hurt the board" so I simply stopped using it.

Comments about One Ball Jay Magne-Traction Edge Sharpener:

If you own a Mervin Mfg. Snowboard (Lib Tech, Gnu, Roxy), you have "magne-traction," and you should not use any quick edge sharpener except OBJ, which is made specifically for your very special edge.

Great sharpening tool. This works better than a gummy stone for getting burrs out and keeping the edges sharp. It does take a small sliver of metal off, but keeps the edges tuned so you can rail every time even after rock or stump hits.

Comments about One Ball Jay Magne-Traction Edge Sharpener:

This sharpener works, just be careful when using it to use the bevel degree you are intending to. As far as I can tell the number you want will be the one visible when you use it. It would still be a good idea to check with you eyes what the angle looks like before you grind a bunch of edge off. Also, though this does have a smaller size, it's still easy to take more off the tops of the magna-traction bumps then in between them, so use some extra care there.

Use a stone to de-burr your edges first, and you'll be pleased with how smooth and sharp your edges come out.
