Comments about Burton Speed Zone Lace Kit:
It's definitely true that when you need them, you really need them. They're relatively easy to use, and if the included instructions don't make sense, you'll be able to find numerous youtube videos to help you. I'd rate higher but this product is not overly awesome, just necessary. And, I think Burton should hold a higher standard so these don't wear out as often as they have.

Improved pulls, straightforward install
from Lake Tahoe, CA
Not much to it - these are replacement Speed Zone laces for Burton boots that use them. One SKU does one boot; for two boots, buy two. The included installation tool makes installation very straightforward, though it does take a little while the first time. The included instructions for knotting may include a misprint that makes the knot ineffective (both of mine did), and for that I took off a star. Consult the Internet, or your favorite book of knots, for a proper end knot. The new T-shaped pulls are a vast improvement over the old loop-shaped pulls.

Remember to order two (2) the kit replaces laces on one boot only. It's easiest to pinch or even bite the metal fishing line/lace puller before inserting into boot lace channels on your old boots.I had some trouble getting both the lace puller and laces through the channels, so I ended up using the puller to pull 30# test fishing line through the channels and using that to pull the laces through

At first its a pain in the butt to get the laces through the guides. I found that the trick was to catch the very most itty bitty end of the lace with the included tool...then pull like hell. Took me 30-45 to relace my pair...we'll worth it.
