Salomon The Villain Snowboard 2013

The Salomon The Villain Snowboard is lightened up by 150 grams for more air, quicker spins, and easy turning. This true twin features Rock Out Camber, Popster Booster, and a forgiving freestyle edge bevel.
Rocker Type
Rock Out Camber - Flat between your feet for stability, camber near the feet for response and rocker on the tip/tail for pressability
Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 4, a medium flex that works well for both freestyle and all mountain riding
Shape
True Twin - Specific to freestyle, this board shape has identical tip/tail lengths and shapes, symmetrical core profiling, flex and a centered stance. Whether you're riding goofy or regular the true twin shape means it doesn't matter.
Sidecut
EQ Rad - A blend of Equallizer (straight) and Radial (curved) sidecut for a balance of agility and fun
Core
Aspen SLCT - Hand-selected FSC certified wood strips form this light, high quality core
Laminates
BA MD - Medium Density European-made fiberglass guarantees a consistent quality level for light and lively performance.
Popster Booster - Carbon stringers added to the standard wood core under your feet for extra pop
Sidewalls
Royal Rubber Pads - 4 mm soft Royal Rubber blocks inserted into the high-pressure zones of the ABS sidewalls dampen vibration and soften big impacts
Base
Sintered EG - Sintered base material for superior glide and wax retention, Gallium for impact resistance, and an Electra finish for maximum speed
Medium Stone Finish - A medium structure finish that improves our fast sintered base glide. Quicker in all snow conditions, from cold morning corduroy to spring slush.
Edges
Freestyle Edge Bevel - Detuning the tip and tail to a 2 degree holding tune throughout the key parts of the sidecut, then back to a 3 degree bevel between the feet. This delivers the complete blend of edge hold and park shred.

Additional Features
Fly Weight Construction - Unique to the Classicks line, this construction reduces material within the board without compromising strength, saving an average of 150 grams per board

Comments about Salomon The Villain Snowboard 2013:

The Salomon Villian is a best friend for the all mountain rider. A board you can feel confident on, one that easily initiates turns, something with at least some pop, but thought it was rather heavy.

mask? check. gloves? check. villian snowboard from salomon? check. now you're set to really cause some trouble for sure. new for 2013 is a great, all mountain shredder. mid flex, stable and best of all fun. its playful when you want to just have a good time, but if you find you're having a little too much fun and need to get outta there fast, it can handle rallying down a groomer too.

    Salomon Villian 153

Comments about Salomon The Villain Snowboard 2013:

When you're looking for a board to do it all, you run the risk of getting a board that tends to be mediocre in almost every aspect. This board would be a great example. It's a bit on the stiffer side, which makes the board fast on groomed runs, but surprisingly one-dimensional. I would recommend this board for anyone who likes to take fast laps and keep it in-bounds.

Comments about Salomon The Villain Snowboard 2013:

A good overall board, has the camber/rocker hybrid that makes it good kind in most situations. I feel like this board can best be described as one the newer animated movies - they tend to be good, but you never really remember them a year down the road. It was really fast and had pop, but I could have used a bit better edge control on fast turns and maybe a bit more playfulness in the flex pattern.
