Salomon Gypsy Snowboard - Demo - Women's 2014

The Salomon Gypsy Snowboard is a women's specific freestyle board designed to give you maximum response and torsional power for a playful day on the mountain. Gypsy's unique mix of rocker, camber and a flat area underfoot paired with Popster Booster technology delivers explosive pop for nailing exceptionally smooth spins that help make landing that big 540 a breeze. A true twin shape and EQ RAD sidecut give the perfect balance for riding switch so you can float, spin, and land any which way you please on the Gypsy. *This is a new demo product used only for show. It has never been used but may have slight cosmetic wear from transit.*
Rocker Type
Rock Out Camber - Salomon's Rock Out Camber profile is a mix of three things that will have you totally rocking out; a flat area between your bindings adds stability, while Camber near the feet adds response, and Rocker on the tip and tail adds increased pressability.
Flex
Flex Rating: 3 (1 Softest - 10 Stiffest) - A softer flex for riders who prefer a loose, more skate-like feel for riding in the park or anywhere on the hill
Shape
True Twin - Salomon's true twin shape is a freestyle specific shape with identical tip and tail lengths and shapes creating a symmetrical core profiling, flex and a centered binding stance.
EQ Rad Sidecut - Equalizer and Radial lines blended together for the perfect balance of agility and fun
Core
Aspen SLCT - Every single FSC certified wood strip is hand selected to ensure unparalleled core quality with a light weight.
Laminates
BA MD - Medium density European-made fiberglass layers for a guaranteed consistency of quality on light and lively boards
Popster Booster - Add carbon stringers to standard Popster and you get all the energy from under your feet radiating to the tip and tail for maximizing pop.
Sidewalls
Royal Rubber Pads - 4 mm Soft Royal Rubber blocks inserted into the high-pressure zones of Salomon's ABS sidewalls for dampening vibrations and mellowing out during the big impacts
Base
Sintered EG - Salomon has engineered this base for a super fast glide on everything from fresh pow to sticky spring snow. A sintered base material provides superior wax retention while Gallium strengthens impact resistance and the Electra finish gives a turbo-charged glide.
Edges
Freestyle Edge Bevel - Salomon creates a freestyle edge by detuning the tip and tail and then moving to a 2 degree edge holding tune throughout the key parts of the sidecut and then moves back to a 3 degree bevel edge between the feet, all to deliver a complete blend of edge hold and park shred.
Medium Stone Finish - Salomon uses a medium structure finish that improves Salomon's fast sintered base glide, making for a quicker ride in all snow conditions, from cold morning corduroy to spring slush.

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker
    Rocker/Camber/Rocker
Rocker/Camber/Rocker shapes seek to give you both hard-carving edgehold on firm snow from camber underfoot with enhanced turnability and float in powder from the rockered tip and tail. This profile is increasingly popular for freeride boards designed primarily for soft snow.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
