The only way to become the fiercest person on the mountain is to hop on the new Salomon Fierce Snowboard. The pure twin shape combined with flexible construction will give you exactly the right balance to rip up any hill and grind your way to becoming a mountain slayer. The Fierce board will put you on the fast track to freestyle freedom. *This is a new demo product used only for show. It has never been used but may have slight cosmetic wear from transit.*
Rocker Type
Super Flat - All terrain versatility comes in this flat profile for catch free spins, honest presses and stability.
Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 1-2 provides a maneuverable ride at slow speeds and is very forgiving. Perfect for a beginner/intermediate rider.
Shape
True Twin - Specific to freestyle, this board shape has identical tip/tail lengths and shapes, symmetrical core profiling, flex and a centered stance. Whether you're riding goofy or regular the true twin shape means it doesn't matter.
Sidecut
Radial - Created from a perfect circle radial is the classic sidecut for consistent board response.
Core
Aspen - With an Aspen core type you get full length strength with FSC certified Aspen wood with high density birch stripes for improved insert retention.
Laminates
BA Low Density - The BA Low Density construction of this board uses low density fibers that are super lightweight so the board keeps its flex and is easy to manage.
Sidewalls
ABS - These durable sidewalls are put in to protect the core. With this sandwich construction the core of your board will never be touched.

They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction.

    Beginner-Intermediate
    Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.

    A flat profile is just as you’d expect – flat from near the tip of the board to near the tail. This shape splits the difference between camber and rocker, with more forgiving turnability than a fully cambered board and more precise edging capability than a fully rockered one

    The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
