Rome Tour Wide Snowboard 2013

The Rome Tour Wide Snowboard is designed to be perfect for a rider who is looking for a board to help them progress in a wide cut. Built with the NoHang-Ups Rocker, this board will give you park playfulness with more pop in the tip and tail without catching an edge on the groomer or groovy dance floor. With a playful feel that never let's you down, you can trust your board to progress and adapt just as quickly as you do.
Rocker Type
NoHang-Ups Rocker - 3D camber profiling in the nose and tail with a positive camber NoHang-Ups Diamond that ends 20 mm before the end of the running length: These boards blend the playfulness of the 3D rocker with more pop in the nose and tail and more anti-revert control when landing spins.

Flex
Flex Rating: 2 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - A soft flex for freestyle and a very playful feel
Shape
True Twin - Perfect for freestyle ridding
Sidecut
QuickRip Sidecut - Advanced sidecut geometry gives a short, playful feel at slower speeds and a longer, faster and more stable feel at higher speeds. The mid-board contact points end the running length at slow speeds and add grip at high speeds.

Core
PopCore Matrix - Low density wood in two zones through the board for a lightweight profile with a flexible poplar matrix
Laminates
Bambooster Dual Inline Technology - Two bamboo rods running under the bindings and out through the nose/tail, both longitudinally and torsionally, add an unprecedented amount of power.
StraightBiax - Designed for the fun and creative rider, this laminate has a forgiving response through presses, jumps and jibs.
Base
XTRD - The standard of simplicity that is durable, quick, and made to stand up to the everyday beating—a 1.45 abrasion resistance holds strong and is easy to fix.
Binding Compatibility
Rome Snowboards will accommodate 2x4 and 4x4 insert patterns.

Comments about Rome Tour Wide Snowboard 2013:

I based my purchase off thegoodride review.

This my first snowboard/season, coming from surfing (mostly power) which means I know enough surfing to get in trouble but not enough snowboarding to get out of it :-)

I have already rode it on fresh 6-8" powder and spring hard-pack/icy rutted sunday afternoon groomers.

Mostly carving. It goes as fast as I can handle. The edge hold is great. The carving is great.

It could be a little stiffer or less easy to turn but overall I am pleased with the deck

Comments about Rome Tour Wide Snowboard 2013:

I just started snowboarding in January this season. I immediate fell in love with the sport went out and did research and decided to buy this as my first snowboard. The first time I rode it I knew I loved it. Excellent ride and comfort great stability, and control. Carving Ability is quick and precise which makes is an excellent all mountain board. Today I can already do all the trails at the mountains I go to and I have the Rome Tour 158 Wide to thank for being with me the whole way there. Highly recommend!
