Powder-S 3D camber means the nose is contoured for smooth handling in deep conditions while the camber from mid-body to tail lets you load up to explode out of a slashing turn and into the next. Core
Pop Core Matrix – Built primarily of responsive, strong wood with two zones of a lighter wood species, this core balances response and lightness for a nimble ride.
Laminates
Straight Biax Carbon Laminate – Rome integrates carbon strands to a matrix of 0 degree and 90 degree oriented fibers for freestyle and progression oriented riding.
Turborods – Carbon Single Barrel – The configuration inlays a rod in the centerline of the board emanating from the binding towards the tip.
TurboRod Technology – Rome uses a unique application of light and poppy carbon to improve response by milling channels into targeted ares of the core and placing a sleeve inside the channel. They then insert a thin rod of carbon in the sleeve and anchor it at the end of the channel closest to the midpoint of the board so that the carbon can move in and out of the sleeve to load up more energy. When the energy is released, it releases cleanly without vibration to increase power and pop for the board.

SinterStrong Sidewalls – Sintered sidewalls increase strength against impacts by being more elastic than traditional sidewalls while dampening vibrations for a smoother overall ride.

Powder Powder snowboards love powder. Often associated with freeride snowboards, powder boards sometimes feature a wider nose and a tapered narrower tail. The binding inserts, which determine the rider's stance, are often set back on a powder snowboard to help the rider float the tip of the board through the deep stuff. Powder snowboards sometimes also feature rocker, a design element where the tip (and tail) rise starts farther back on the board, which also helps the rider maintain tip float through the pow.

Stiff The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
