Rome Shop all Rome
For the advanced rider who wants an all-mountain shred-stick with more technology than Terminator, the Rome Mod Rocker Snowboard is here. The Mod Rocker is a lightweight, lively board that has outrageous pop and versatility. Whether you're talking jumps, pow, jumps into pow, slashing trees, or crushing groomers, the Mod Rocker mixes work with play, and is ready to party. Beer, cheeseburgers, and stoke sold separately.
Rocker Type
FreePop Rocker - Rome's FreePop Rocker snowboards lie flat against the snow, as it meets the nose and tail the flat profile transitions to rocker where it is lifted off the surface of the snow subtly. For you this means riding a board that is extremely stable, versatile, forgiving and endlessly playful.

Shape
True Twin - A true twin snowboard shape is ideal for riders who want to ride switch and do some tricks. The nose and tail are identical and the flex is evenly distributed throughout the entirety of the board. True twins are perfectly symmetrical.
Quickrip Sidecut - Off-set sidecuts for loose fun at slow speeds, and responsive precision at high speeds

Core
AirPop Core Maxtrix - Rome's AirPop Core's is made of Poplar wood to add strength and durability while providing you with unprecedented pop. There are five wood sections with varying densities and air channels in order to make the board extremely light.

TurboRods - TurboRods are made out of milled channels in the core where more dynamically flexing carbon rods are placed inside the sleeves and then anchored to the core. In exchange, all your energy is utilized to deliver an insane pop.
Z-Tech 1.0 - Rome added a centerline band of Zylon to enhance the snowboards power. Zylon is a fiber that is lightweight, snappy, and extremely strong. The result of placing a 1" strip of Zylon increases your ollie pop without increasing the snowboards stiffness.

Laminates
Superlight Biax Laminate - Rome's Super Light Biax Laminate aims to add pop and response to your snowboard while keeping the torsional flex smooth and fun.

Base
SinterCarbon Base - Rome's SinterCarbon Base is made of carbon additives to reduce friction making your snowboard faster. Sintered bases are highly porous and hungry for wax.
Die-cut Base - Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.
Binding Compatibility
Rome Snowboards will accommodate 2x4 and 4x4 insert patterns.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freeride, Freestyle, Powder
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freeride
Freeride snowboards are designed for the rider that spends most of the day off groomed runs and in backcountry terrain. They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
    Powder
Powder snowboards love powder. Often associated with freeride snowboards, powder boards sometimes feature a wider nose and a tapered narrower tail. The binding inserts, which determine the rider's stance, are often set back on a powder snowboard to help the rider float the tip of the board through the deep stuff. Powder snowboards sometimes also feature rocker, a design element where the tip (and tail) rise starts farther back on the board, which also helps the rider maintain tip float through the pow.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
    Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.
  • Shape: True Twin
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
