Rome Hammerhead Snowboard 2013

Remember the first published photo of a rocket air on a skateboard? Well, maybe not, but it was none other than Christian Hosoi. The Rome Hammerhead Snowboard pays homage to to this groundbreaking skate icon with the shape of this deck. The Freepop Rocker profile allows for superior pop to get the maximum amount of air time possible while the Hosoi shape gives natural jibbing capabilities. This is a true skate inspired board for those in search of hand plants, transitions and Animal Chin.
Rocker Type
FreePop Rocker - With the flat section extending 5 cm outside the inserts, these boards have a park-to-peak amount of pop and edge control. At the same time, the rocker in the nose and tail give float in pow, smooth style on rails and stylish finesse off jumps.

Flex
Flex Rating: 2 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - A soft flex for freestyle and a very playful feel
Shape
ButterOut Transition Zones - Smooth as butta'; this drawn out transition zone is a playful take on Rome's classic design, creating a play-a-round freestyle board, guaranteed to fuel your snowboard addiction.
This deck honors skate history with an iconic Christian Hosoi shape.
Sidecut
QuickRip Sidecut - Advanced sidecut geometry gives a short, playful feel at slower speeds and a longer, faster and more stable feel at higher speeds. The mid-board contact points end the running length at slow speeds and add grip at high speeds.

True Twin for easy switch riding.
Core
Skatecore Profiling - This is a core profile that is thinner and softer between the feet and stiffer in the nose and tail. The result is a ride that feels like a pair of trucks when turning and ollies more like a skateboard.
PopCore Matrix - Low density wood in two zones through the board for a lightweight profile with a flexible poplar matrix
Laminates
StraightBiax - Designed for the fun and creative rider, this laminate has a forgiving response through presses, jumps and jibs.
Base
Impact Base - Rails, rocks and trees mean nothing to this base. Constructed of the strongest abrasion resistant compound, this advanced extruded technology with a high density structure holds up to what you can dish out.
Binding Compatibility
Rome Snowboards will accommodate 2x4 and 4x4 insert patterns.

Comments about Rome Hammerhead Snowboard 2013:

Im not a jib kid so maybe I was missing something about this board... It caught my eye because of the tip and tail shape... but the shape has nothing to do with function. The board was flat between feet with rocker tip and tail for butters... I thought the board was too soft to hold butters well... I looped out a few times. This board has one purpose to jib... not my style but fun to play on
